A hotel received Rs. 965850 in F.Y. 2009-10 and Rs. 845600 in F.Y. 2008-09 so Service tax is applicable or not.

There is a small service provider exemption for services provided upto 10 lakhs provided that the services provided in the pr yr is less than 10 lakhs.

If during f/y gross recipts gone up fro.m 9lacs then service tax should appliy.
