i just want to know that M.R.P.for any product include VAT or not
sir some days before i purchased a computer accessory.On product it is mentioned MRP price but vendor chaged vat on that MRP price

29 February 2008 Normally under the packaging commodities Act 1987 all inclusive price will have to be printed

01 March 2008 No the vendor cannot charge, please go back and seek a refund of tax, or politely state that you would approach the consumer forum or report to the manufacturer about his discrepancy

MRP itself mean maximum retail price inclusive of all taxes, unless specifically state on the packing , taxes extra.
