Applicability of Service tax to Religious Trust

18 November 2010 We are engaged in the construction of Buildings. Recently we constructed a new bulding at Tirupathi and Handed over the same to the TTD for religious purpose. Am i required to collect the Service tax from TTD. Please suggest me with applicable provision Urgent

18 November 2010 Under commercial Construction Service:
Construction, which are for use of institutions being established solely for educational, religious, charitable, health purpose and not for the purpose of profit are not taxable being non commercial in nature.

If services not covered above, then services provided - taxable.
