Dear Members,
Is service tax applicable for construction services(Specifically construction of Hospital) provided to Employee State Insurance Corporation ? Is there any exemption for renovation work of hospitals provided to the ESIC? Please clarify my doubt with notification No if any.

This is an exempted service as per the new budget 2016 amendment to Mega Exemption Notification 25/2012 ST vide Notification 9/2016 - ST. This is effective from 1st March 2016

Sir,
The Construction work done for ESIC on F.Y 2014-15, & 2015-16. Is the service exempted for that period ? Is the exemption for retrospective effect.

No sir. this exemption is effective from 1st March 2016 onwards. To my knowledge, the government have not given a retrospective exemption to this service
