Aplicability of service tax on contractor

Can anyone tell if if I hire labour workforce from a contractor on a contract basis, will I be charged to service tax

Thanks Timsy...need more clarification....if I am hiring more than 20 employees as labour..which is beneficail..contract( iI need to pay service tax or hiring(PF/ESi becomes applicab;e)

As long as the service provider has a gross taxable service of more than 10 Lakhs in the pr yr, he would be liable. If not that much in pr yr after 10 Lakhs he would have to charge on the entire consideration including the PF/ESI contributioin as these are costs incurred in provding the service of manpower supply.
