Can an existing Alternate Director continue as Alternate Director after commencement of Companies Act, 2013, where original Director is in India?
Please provide me current provisions regarding Alternate Director.

As per my personal opinion yes he can definitely continue even if concerned director is in India. Reason being in your Alternate Director should be governed by Section 313 of the CA 1956 as long as continues as Alternate Director.
