Respected sir, what will be the consequences if we place a purchase order while a previous purchase order is still alive ?

Is it a duplicate PO? If yes, the original (First) one persists. No fresh contract comes into play as there is no "consensus ad idem" But if answer is no, then you need to give more details to answer the query.
