After due date filing of returns exemption u/s 80P of the IT Act

This query is : Resolved

Quick Summary
Filing your income tax return after the due date may prevent you from claiming deductions under Section 80P, as the CPC might not consider it. While generally, delays cannot be condoned for this purpose after April 1, 2021, you may still consider filing an appeal if there was a reasonable cause for the delay. However, there are currently no reported case laws specifically for AY 2021-2022 addressing this issue.
