Advance tax remitted is no appearing in 26as

24 April 2013 My boss who is pensioner and having interest income has remitted advance tax of 50,000/- during 2010-11 through bank challan. The said amount is not appearing in his form 26AS till date. please let me know the procedure for getting the said amount to his credit.

24 April 2013 You have to contact the jurisdictional Assessing Officer with the Original Copy of the Stamped Bank Challan.

19 May 2013 First check whether you have given proper PAN number and if it is correct then you have to take the copy of the challan to the Bank ask the Bank to give you the details of credit if bank refuses then go the Assessing Officer with challan and get your records corrected.
