DEAR ALL
IF WE PAY ADVANCE FOR FREIGHT TO TRANSPORT , CAN SERVICE TAX IS REQUIRE TO PAY SUCH ADVANCE PAYMENT BY SERVICE RECEIVER UNDER GOODS TRANSPORT AGENCY SERVICE

Service tax is also required to be paid when advance payment is made.A per Rule 7 of Point of taxation Rules,point of taxation in case of reverse charge is the date on which payment is made.Therefore the service tax liability arises on payment. itself.
