Hi expert,if there is diff between actual salary and 26 AS statement,which amount should be write on IT return filling form.26 AS shows less amount than actual received. Which is good practice.

Actual has to be reported which is available on Form 16, difference is because of improper tds return of employer.however some employers taking use of it and escaping tax
