I have filed form 18 online and transaction status is "approved". Will an acknowledgement be sent by email? If yes withing how many days?

You will receive Certificate of modification of charge through email on company id and the person who has filed such form.
It will take one or two days.

Sorry for my earlier reply.....
If you file Form 18 with concerned ROC and MCA portal shows as approved it means your registered office update has been approved but ROC will not send any documentry proof in this regar but u can check master data for confirmation of change in registered address.
