can a person hold two demat accounts in one bank. first in his name and Second one is jointly ( he and his wife)if your answer is yes then...! please mention any provision of act or something which can be put before bank authorities...

Yes, you can open more than one demat account with One Bank . There is no restriction on the number of accounts you can open with the same Depository Participant
