1.WHAT IS THE INTERSTATE PURCHASE,INTERSTATE PURCHASE@ 4%,INTERSTATE PURCHASE @2%AGAINST FORM C AND PURCHASE EX-UP,
2.WHO ISSUE FORM C AND FORM 38
3. CAN I ADJUST CST TAX FROM INPUT VAT OR CST TO BE PAID

04 March 2011 1. Interstate purchase is purchase from state other than your state. 4% or 2% is tax charged by the sipplier in that state.
2. Form C &38 is issued by the commercial tax department in UP.

1.The purchase made outside of the State is called interstate purchase.

if the purchase made against C form is 2%
with out C form is 4% or local rate of tax

2.Form C &38 is issued by the commercial tax department in UP.

3.You cant adjust the CST input to output VAT

who issue form c and form 38 supplier or buyer
and i give a example please suggest me
local input vat 4000
local output vat 2000
interstate purchase cst 500
interstate sale cst 400

so how, i will post in journal voucher
and what will be position of itc

please explain me in details.

08 March 2011 Buyer has to issue form to avail concessional CST @ 2%; 38 is for movement into / out of U P and would be issued by the registered dealer (buyer / seller) of U P only;
Debit VAT input tax Rs.4000 out of which 2000 of output Vat can be adjusted as also Rs.400 for sale CST thus leaving a clear carry forwardable balance of Rs. 1600; Purchase CST is part of purchase costs and no credit is possible;
