80d deduction

12 April 2016 Hello Experts,
In AY 2016-17 i have taken 3 medical policy, for each policy i have paid Rs. 22000 total 66000/- please let me know how much deduction can i avail weather full 66000 or 44000 for two member (husband and wife) or 50000

12 April 2016 Maximum Dedcution U/s 80D is available up to Rs 25000/- Assuming that both of you are not a Senior/Very Senior Citizen

Sir i think i should get 44000 deduction for husband and wife

12 April 2016 Deduction is available to you as you only had paid 22000x3=66000.
.
If the payment of 66000/- is made from the joint bank account of both husband & wife then both of them can manage to get RS. 25000/- each.

12 April 2016 The payment of 66000 was made from husband's saving account Not from joint account in this case only deduction of 25000 will get to husband Not to wife....
