One of our staff pre-closed his housing loan during FY 11-12 from his own source of fund. Can he claim Rs.1 lakh dedn. under 80C during 11-12

Yes, He can claim exemption under section 80C upto Rs.1,00,000 for repayment of principle amount in housing loan.
