54 F DEDUCTION IN RESIDENTIALPROPERTY

18 January 2026 One of client enterd in the purchase of a residential unit, say in January 2026 for under construction. And in February 2026, he sold commercial property.

My query is whether under construction property FIRST and then sell the commercial property. Ccan he get deduction u/s 54 F in Income Tax?

18 January 2026 Yes, if the possession is received within specified time limit (3 years) from sell & the remaining payment parked in CGAS account.
