which date is to be taken as actual date of payment to concerned authorities whether challan date or cheque date?

date of payment shall be cheque realised and reflecting in bank statement needs to be taken

For the purpose of reporting under the clause 20(b) date of deposit is relevant hence the date of cheque issued can be considered as the date of deposit instead of date of challan.
