2 seperate building projects, can builder take 2 gstn?

25 February 2023 currently builder has one bilding project under old 12% scheme with itc.
now, due to bombay court order, builder compnay has got another building project to be completed.

so, in same maharashtra state, can builder pvt ltd. co have 2 gstn ?

both are under old scheme gst output rate 12% and allowed to take itc.

both will have seperate tally accounts.

my view--> yes, both can be said to be seperate verticals.

26 February 2023 The concept of verticals have been discontinued. But provisions have been amended whereby you can take multiple registration for same type of business in same state. Therefore for each project if you wish you can take separate registration.

28 February 2023 ty sirs. yes seperate vertical is gone. so in one pan, i will take 2 registrations in same maharashtra state for 2 diff. building projects.

28 February 2023 Yes go ahead with it. It's actually better to have different GSTIN for each project since for real estate it is now mandatory to keep records project wise as per GST law

09 March 2023 just realised a fact from clinet
, one s works contract other is regular gst registration.. going for 2 gst nos. building project wise thank u sir
