02 October 2014 hey everyone can anybody pls help me out in understanding about when it is regarded as your 1st attempt in CA FINAL... the provisional attempt in last 6 months of Articleship training... or the next attempt that is the actual attempt after completing 3 yrs Articleship? because I heard from some students that if u don't fill exam Form of the first provisional attempt it won't be regarded as ur 1st attempt. does this hold good for cases when u fill the exam Form but don't give exam also? further, what is the importance of clearing the exam at 1st attempt?

03 October 2014 the importance of clearing in one attempt on account of many companies accepting job applications only from those CAs who have cleared the finals in first attempt.

rest what attempted is counted or not is not decided by ICAI. All what employer is looking for whether you cleared in the first attempt you sat or not. many such employers do count the first eligible attempt too.

03 October 2014 As per My opinion provisional attempt in last 6 months of Articleship training would be considered as your first attempt for all purposes.
