DEAR SIR,
WE ARE SUPPOSTED TO DOWNLOAD 16B FOR PROPERTY BUYERS AFTER THEY HAVE DEPOSITED THE TDS AGAINST FORM 26QB. RECENTLY WE HAVE DEPSOITED TDS AFTER GENERATING CHALLAN AND 26QB. AFTER GETTING THE RECEIPT FROM BANK AFTER ONE WEEK WE TRIED TO REQUEST FOR 16B BUT AFTER PROVIDING ALL THE DETAILS SUCH AS ASSESSMENT YEAR, PAN NO OF THE DEDUCTEE AND ACKNOWLEDMENT NO, THE TRACES SITE DOES NOT SHOW ANY DATA AND SAYS NO DATA AVAILABLE FOR THE SPECIFIED SEARCH CRITERIA WHEREAS ON OLTAS THE SAME IS SHOWN WHEN CHECKED ON CIN BASED SEARCH. PLEASE GUIDE WHAT SHOULD BE DONE TO DOWNLOAD FORM 16B. MAIL WRITTEN TO TRACES HAS NO EFFECT.

Buyer who has deduced tax need to Register in Traces as a Tax payer

Once you Registered in Traces you need to Request for download and after 1 hour of request you will be able to download Form 16B
.
