15 September 2012 During defendant's evidences, respondent opted for verification of cheque for correction in date from a government agency and it was allowed by the court. The cheque was examined by scientific forensic laboratory, Ministry of Home Affairs, Calcutta. It issued a clean report stating that there is no correction in dates. After that, respondent applied for verification of cheque from a particular private handwriting expert Mr X. Is it legally allowable

20 September 2012 Both the grounds are different. One is for alterations and another is for hand writing. And therefore court has rightfully allowed the same.
