Income Tax Department EXEMPTED follwing SALARIED Categeory of Employees for Filing Income Tax Returns:

Salaried Employee whose Total Income for the Assessment Year 2011-2012 (Financial Year 2010-2011) is less than Rs. 5 Lakhs from the SALARIED Income & their disclosed Interest Income form Savings Bank Interest (Savings Bank Interest up to Rs. 10,000) only, if the Employer has issued Valid Form 16 (Based on Valid PAN) after TDS deduction from the said incomes by employer.

If you as an Article received more than 5 lakh then you will be eligible to file ITR otherwise not.

07 April 2012 if u want to file your return of income than u able to file it.
but know how much income you earn.
because your stipend income is exempted income u/s 10. if u get some other income like interest income or any other which is more than basic exemption limit than u file return regularly.
but u still have no other income but you want to file return for your future prospective than you can file return. for this you take PAN. than file your income tax return.
