Wrong surname of father in return

03 October 2014 while filing return(refund of excess TDS) of assessee by mistaken surname of assessee's father wrongly entered as garg instead of Jain. all other details are correct. the return was filed through excel utility of department & the X M L file also deleted. should the revised return b filed for d error if yes is any option to get back d file from department so dat only suitable modification can b done or have to fill again full details.

03 October 2014 login to incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in account. in the returns page, click on the acknowledgment number for the return where you have made the mistake. A pop up will open. There you will have option of downloading, XML, ITRV, and the PDF of the return form
