Dear Expert,
Can you guide me about the proceedure of rectification in TDS challan as I have noticed that wrong section is quoted at the time of TDS payment.

Sorry MR. GhanshyamJi But till to date there no procedure to rectify the section in TDS challan.
you can take a chance or make a repayment by inserting correct section.

mr ghanshyam t jha,till date no such procedure has been stated.however even if such mistake has been committed the tds returns can be filed without any problems.usually the income tax authorities have not raised any issue on mistakes of mentioning wrong section.even if they raise any issue it can be resolved by discussing with the tds AO.
