Wrong saving account number

05 August 2014 I have given wrong saving bank account number in efilling retrun A.Y. 2014-15. Retrun has already been processed and showing status on net that refund out to banker.

Please guide me what i do now.

05 August 2014 Submit online request for rectification u/s 154. Once rectification is done you can submit request for re-issue of refund.

08 August 2014 I have filed rectification u/s 154 for rectification of bank account number.When i checked my status online, message is showing following matter:

"in case the bank account number has changed, then the rectification reference number will be generated and acknowledgement available only after the response sheet received at CPC,Banglore."

Please explain that what is response sheet?

What is the “Response Sheet” in Income Tax Rectification Process?
When you file a rectification request under Section 154 (for example, to correct the bank account number), the Income Tax Department (specifically CPC Bangalore) reviews your application.
Response Sheet is an internal communication from CPC to the Assessing Officer (AO) or related authority asking them to review your rectification request.
The AO then examines the request and either approves or rejects it.
Once the AO responds back, the rectification process moves forward, and you get an acknowledgement/reference number for your rectification.
In short:
It’s a step in the rectification process where your request is scrutinized by tax officials.
Until the response sheet is received and processed, your rectification won’t be completed.
What should you do now?
Wait for CPC to send the response sheet.
Keep checking the status online with your rectification reference number.
