Wrong assessment year

02 September 2011 I have paid the Self assessment tax. i had written AY 2011-12 but bnak had wrongly filed AY 2010-11 which i saw in form 26 AS and i complained to bank for correction but they give me only a letter to Income tax about it.
IS IT ENOUGH?
what to do next?
should i give the copy of that letter to local income tax ward?
i have already filed the return online

03 September 2011 Write a letter to your jurisdictional income-tax officer and to CPC, bangalore with enclosing the banker's letter.
The CPC would not give credit for SAT. Their policy is to give credit when there is entry in Form 26AS In near future they will transfer your file to local ITO. The ITO will raise the demand for the Tax+interest. Prove him that you have not done a mistake. He may give credit by seeing your SAT challan.
