Weather the Civil Works Contractor can claim input tax credit on his Purchases. I think in few cases of Civil Contract service there is input tax Restrictions.

On all supply of services and goods ( please do not use the word purchases) for works contract for civil work input credit is available except against motor vehicles,food & beverages etc, club fee, rent a cab etc. as mentioned in section 17 (5) of CGST ACT
