Works contract in andhra pradesh

I am selling security equipments to my clients, sometimes I have to deliver the goods as it as and sometimes I need to Install the Goods at his premises. I want to know do I come under Works Contract in VAT if so can I Claim Input Tax Credit on Purchases.

While selling such security equipments show labour charges separately in the invoice. Do not make composite chrges including cost of equipment and the labour together. Then it will not be classified as works contrat.In your case as installation is not a necessity in all cases it need not be taken as works contract.....mjk
