09 March 2013 Hi, I am a Chartered Accountant and a Company Secretary but my 15 months practical training in CS course is pending. Now I am working in a private company. The secretary of my company resigned recently. Can I act as a company secretary of my company? If not what are the possible ways to work as a secretary? Please suggest.

No, you can not act as Secretary of the Company, because, you are not the member of ICSI. Till date, you are only as a student of ICSI.

You can claim exemption in CS training on the basis of professional experience.
