Why to pay APMC tax seperately when GST paid on goods

15 November 2023 We buy goods like paddy , jeera etc from different importers , stockists etc from different states with gst bills. Local APMC authorities expecting us to pay 1 percent APMC tax for those goods. Is it necessary that we buy goods with gst that's also applicable for APMC tax.

15 November 2023 It's not a tax it's a fees payable for the marketing committee for the purchase within the marketing committee area. This is not applicable for imports.
Market fee charged by APMCs a move that's expected to provide traders in the APMC market yards a level playing field with private markets and other entities.
