Please give us advise for invoice format of composition scheme Trader and Manufacturer (Tax Invoice or Bill of supply) . 1. how do i do generate the invoice.

03 August 2025 Under the GST Composition Scheme, a registered person cannot issue a tax invoice because they are not allowed to charge GST from customers. Instead, they must issue a Bill of Supply.

Here’s a simple Bill of Supply format for a composition dealer:

⚠️ Key Points:
Use the term “Bill of Supply” (not “Tax Invoice”).

Do not charge or show GST on the invoice.

Must mention the declaration:

“Composition taxable person, not eligible to collect tax on supplies.”

HSN Code is mandatory as per turnover:

Turnover < ₹1.5 Cr → not mandatory (except for notified goods)

₹1.5 Cr to ₹5 Cr → 2 digits

₹5 Cr → 4 digits

🔧 How to Generate It:
Use Excel, Word, or billing software that allows customizing the template as a “Bill of Supply.”

Most accounting tools like Tally, Zoho Books, Marg, Busy support composition billing options.
