31 July 2015 one huf is coparcener, son, sister & mother. main coparncer is dead. out of three son is american citizen then who is karta out of remaining three member wife, son & daughter. there four member A) father B) Mother c) Son D) Daughter. Son is NRI having American Citizen. Father is expired. Now Left
out of three who is Karta?In natural cause, son may be karta after father death but son is N.R.I. having american citizen and not permantely staying in India. In this situtation can mother be karta automatically without taking any approval from son wno is NRI.

31 July 2015 In the given question, Karta Can be the person himself, his sons or daughter.
Sister or Mother of the Main Coparcener can not be Karta of His HUF.
Accordingly, His son can be Karta only. This is irrespective of the fact that he is an american citizen.
