as the syllabus is changing for nov14 students, i wanted to ask whether i should give may14 attempt or nov14 attempt

since you are asking for advice, earlier the better. amendments keep happening, syllabus keep changing. You are going to join a profession where things change everyday. So syllabus change should not be that big a consideration.
