Whether to tution for DT

I have my attempt due in Nov'11 and i am confused whether to go for tution for DT or not. Personally i want to study the subject on my own but others continuously says that it is biggest subject and it will not be possible to do it own.

Reason for not going wanting to got tution is Batch strength of 300-350 students.

Please help me out and any suggestion for doing self study.

I would also advise you to go for CA Final DT coaching. It is not that u cannot succeed through self study...but because of better and thorough understanding of tax for your professional working later on.

08 September 2010 There is nothing like it cannot be studied on your own. I had studied direct tax on my own as i did not get time to take tutions for the same and i scored more than 60 in the exam by studying the practical part from Sighania and the assessment procedure from Manoharan.

So u can study on your own without any doubt.

However also it does depend upon the exposure you get during the articleship period. During my articleship i had good exposure in tax and hence was able to study the subject on my own.

08 September 2010 Not referred that book and hence cannot comment on the same. I think it is very comprehensive one though not referred by me at the time of studying.
