Is GST Applicable on Hostel Services (run by a Private Person) charging 6,000/- pm to 10,000/- pm ?

ThankYou Sir....I have a doubt there is a provision is GST which says GST is applicable only if the Per day Charges exceed Rs 1,000/- in that view is it is not covered under GST?
