Whether 234a is applicable if itr v is nt sent to banglore??

23 December 2014 I have filed ITR return on 30th Nov 2014 (i.e before due date)without attaching Digital signature . It contained a small mistake and so I have filed a revised return on 1st Dec 2014 rectifying the same mistake by attaching digital signature. I have not sent the original ITR V to banglore.. If ITR V is not sent within 120 days then it will be considered as invalid..

Now my question is that whether it will be considered as not filed within the due date and will Sec 234A interest is applicable if I do not send the ITR V to banglore????

23 December 2014 yes sec 234A is applicable in this case as you have not filed the itr v ack to cpc within 120 days that means no valid and effective itr has been filed by you so far.

23 December 2014 But 30th Nov 2014 is a Sunday hence the due date will be 1st of Dec 2014... I have filed the revised return on 1st of Dec 2014 with digital signature.. so will it be considered that I have filed the Return within the due date...

23 December 2014 the question is you havent sent the itr v ack within 120 days there the default lies.

23 December 2014 Agree with Tushar that you need to send your ITR V for not turning the return into a defective return. However, 30th November 2014 being a Sunday does not automatically extend the due date for filing of return to 1st December 2014.
