17 March 2011 Where to show medical reimbursement upto 15k (reimb with bills ) in the form 16.

If the company is not showing the same in form 16 then where to account for the same in the company's books as total ctc includes the medical reimb.

17 March 2011 Normally..Medical reimbursement upto 15000/- per annum should not be shown in form 16 as it is a tax free perquisite.

In form 16, the taxable perquisites are only should be shown.

17 March 2011 Ok.. now your 2nd question : Form 16 has nothing to do with your books of accounts & even if the package figures in your books & form 16 don't tally, it does not matter.

Medical reimbursement is a valid business expense & you can show it separately in your books.
