Can anyone please tel me please... how many prior days notice is required for conducting an EGM of a PVT.LTd Co????????

10 February 2012 21 Clear days notice if Articles of Association ,of the said private company, does not not provide otherwise.

10 February 2012 Yes, as a corollary to section 169(6) of the Co's Act,1956.

11 February 2012 Section 171 of companies Act 1956 deals with Length of Notice..

But where a pvt ltd company has provided, by its AOA days less than 21 Clear days, it can do so..

Further Provision of 171(2) can be taken into account for shorter Notice to call AGM/EGM.
