What is way to approach idt subject for exam preparation?

kindly suggest me the proper direction through which i should start my preparation for Indirect Tax Subject. Even please refer me the best author book which i can follow for my exam preparation.

16 December 2011 You can refer Ajay Jain's Book for the IDT subject. And then go for Book From Mr. Bangar. And read the whole chapters on cenvat credits very minutely because Excise, Customs and Service Tax all the three components are minutely interrelated within that chapter.
