What is cin file

06 March 2014 Dear All,
I m filing my E-TDS return for 4th quarter for F.Y 2012-13...While generation return it shows error & shows a msg like:-

T-FV-1031 Empty CIN File Uploaded.
I can't understand what does it mean?

06 March 2014 I think its salary return.
While furnishing Form 24Q for the first three quarters, Annexure II (salary details) need not be furnished. Only deductor details, Challan details and deductee details (Annexure I) have to be furnished for the first three quarters. However, for the fourth quarter, Annexure II, which gives salary details of the deductees, has to be furnished giving the details for the whole financial year.
The error message is regarding this.

06 March 2014 is your CSI file empty? check that and the challan details mentioned in the challan sheet

EMPTY CIN FILE UPLOADED...

What does CIN file mean to generation return...
