I HAVE SILVER WT 142 KG ON 31.03.10 . I RENTED THIS SILVER TO A DEALER FOR RENT. IM I LIABLE TO PAY WEALTH TAX FOR THE YAER 2010 IF VALUE OF SIVER ENDING ON RS 45/- LACS, PLESAE REPLY AS FAS AS EARLY

It is very hard to understand the RENTING of SILVER. Anyway, the answer is...YES it is subject to WEALTH TAX.
