27 March 2013 Dear Experts !!!

We are sending our excise-able product for process of powder coating. till feb.2013 turnover had Rs.13.50 Lakh.

please guide me.....
powder coating transaction is applicable for Maharashtra WCT ?

till date we have not deduct & deposit WCT. if it is applicable for WCT then can i deduct & deposit now ???

28 March 2013 yes it is covered under WCT, as the process includes the Material and labour Both.

If the above assumption is correct, then you have to deduct the WCT @2% if the vendor is registered dealer under MVAT Act, @5% in case of unregistered and nil in case of outside maharashtra dealer.

You can save the interest on non payment of WCT, if you deduct the same from the date in which the limit of 5.00 lacs is crossed rather in each month

Vendor is register under MVAT. i have decided to deduct @2% in their next bill. now i have some quereis regarding same.
1)till ternover Rs.13.50 lakh then how much amt. applicable for WCT ? means Rs.13.50 Lakh Or (13.50 - 5 =8.50) ???

2)Interest rate ???
