Sir,
I am a civil contractor. I take the contract from the Haryana Govt Deptt and The Deptt deduct the WCT on the bill amt @4% for sales tax 1% for labour cess and tds also. on the other hand I am also paying the sales tax on purchases made in Haryana and Central purchases. Please tell me can I get the Refund for the WCT amt deducted by the department.
Please brief me about the provisions of WCT in Haryana

There is two option in HVAT for contractor, 1. Composition Scheme/Lumpsump- In this option you have to pay 4% of your gross receipts, no input benifit allowed to you.
2. Book Keeping System: 12.5% of your 75% of your Gross receipts (25% Labour Component), Less: TDS of WCT and Less Input VAT (Input Vat-as per your purchase Bills) if there is + balance then pay the VAT if - Balance then carryforward to next tex period.
It so breaf only, it is better for you consult a good consultant with your all queries.
