28 December 2018 Sir, one of my friend, a Propreitor, has not filed GSTR 3B since April 2018. Can he avail Waiver of late fee if he files the return for all the pending months before 31.12.2018. If not, is there any proposal at GSTN for waiving the late fees in near future ?

29 December 2018 Late fee shall be completely waived for all taxpayers in case FORM GSTR-1, FORM GSTR3B &FORM GSTR-4 for the months / quarters July, 2017 to September, 2018, are furnished
after 22.12.2018 but on or before 31.03.2019.

you can avail waiver from Apr18 to Sept 18 as per gst council recommendation

29 December 2018 Thanks Sir. But, will the late fee be charged while filing the belated 3B return now and later on be credited back to our account, as it was done earlier in Oct 2017 OR we can file the belated returns without being asked for the Late fee. Pls. advice.
