I m CA final student going to give 2nd group this may is my 1st attempt i got leave from today from office
My Studies for DT and ISCA are complete but nothing done about Costing n IDT
What should be my strategy if i want exemption in 1 subject?
How can i get exemption in dt studying 4 5 days?

its very difficult do get exemption in a subject. i have seen many times that the two or three papers out of the 8 comes in very different way as compare to the normal trend. Specially in DT u can except a very different paper every time as compare to the normal trend.

However, by hoping for the best and you must cover the following areas to get the exemption in DT -

1. Recent case laws published by the institute.
2. Wealth Tax.
3. Minimum alternative tax.
4. Amendement applicable to this attempt.
5. PGBP
6. Capital Gain

all the above mentioned topics in details and rest of the topics u can cover from the summary module from vg sir book.

02 May 2012 I THINK YOU CAN TRY GIVING IDT AS IT IS THE LAST PAPER. YOU HAVE MORE THAN 15 DAYS BEFORE IDT EXAM. SO YOU CAN COMPLETELY REVISE THE SUBJECT TWICE BEFORE THE EXAM. BEST OF LUCK
