My company's Roc Registration is in Mumbai. We are into builder & developers. Now our project is running into Gujarat. So Vat registration should be for which state is required. which state's vat rules will be applied to our this project.
please guide.

You need to take VAT registration under Gujarat VAT ACt and Rules separately. In addition you need to take CST registration also if you purchase materials from outside Gujarat. Of course, if you choose composition scheme in Gujarate for the projects, there is a prohibition in purchasing the materials outside the State of Gujarat.
