Dear All,
The Vat Refund Application due date has changed from 3 years to 18 months. I would like to know whether this is applicable vat application for the year 2011-2012 or from 2008-09 whose time limit of three years is not yet completed.

The dealer who has filed an application for refund on or before 31.3.2011 for the period ending on or before 31st March 2010 shall be granted refund on or before 30th September 2011.
In respect of the period from 1.4.2010 to 31.3.2011, refund shall be granted on or before 30th June, 2012.
The dealers were required to furnish application for refund within three years from the end of the year containing the period to which such return relates. Now this time limit is curtailed to18 months. So refund application for the period 1.4.2010 to 31.3.2011 must be made on or before 30.9.2012 and so on
