14 January 2010 Under the UP Vat,there are five schedules.

Schedule I: List of exempted goods.
Schedule II:List og goods taxed @ 4%.
Schedule III: List og goods taxable at 1%
Schedule IV: No vat Goods.
Schedule V: LIst of goods Taxed 12.5%

You need to locate your product in these schedule to find out the applicable rate.
