VAT on sale of apartments/flats

22 October 2010 Hi,

I purchased a flat in Pune and had done the agreement with builder in month of Feb. The last disbursement was done in month of Oct.

Do I need to pay 1% VAT in this case ?

Please advise.

28 October 2010 How a sale of apartment will be liable for sales tax ? on purcahse and sales of apartment we are paying stamp duty and service tax as per t he latest amendment , i don;t think that purchase and sale of apartment are subjected to sales tax , all though it's state concern so please check with some one in the mumbai and short out matter
